How much candy do I actually need?

The honest rule is 100 grams a head for something alongside other food, and 200 for candy as the event. A 454 g bag is comfortable for two people over a weekend; the 900 g is a party, a family, or one person who has decided to be honest about it.

The weight is split evenly between the sorts you pick, so five sorts in a 454 g bag is roughly 91 g of each. Picking fewer gives you more of each — worth knowing if there is one thing you actually want and four you are curious about.

Can I make the whole bag vegan?

Yes. Most of the BUBS range is vegan by recipe rather than by substitution — the foam was never made with gelatine — so a bag built from those is vegan without giving anything up. Each candy in the builder has an ⓘ with its brand, ingredients and allergens, and the full shelf is on vegan candy.

Why pick & mix rather than a ready-made bag

Because that is how candy is bought in Sweden. A supermarket gives a whole wall to loose candy, a paper bag and a scoop, and nobody leaves with the same bag as anybody else. It belongs to lördagsgodis — Saturday candy — which is explained properly on Swedish candy.

How it is mixed and shipped

We weigh and mix the bag by hand here in Sweden after you order — nothing is sitting pre-made on a shelf. Orders placed before 12:00 Swedish time usually go out the same day, and handling is nought to two business days.
