Swedish candy is usually sorted into surt and sött before anything else — sour or sweet. This is the sweet side: marshmallow cars, fruit gummies, cola bottles, chocolate-covered everything. It is what most Swedish children pick first and what most adults come back to.

The Swedish version of sweet is less sugary than it sounds. Flavours here tend to taste like the fruit they are named after rather than like generic candy sweetness, and the texture is softer and springier than the harder gummies sold elsewhere.
