Candy People and S-Märke
One maker, two names on the bag. Candy People is the Swedish company; S-Märke is the range it is best known for, and the products here carry both — "Candy People S-Mark" on the front of most of them. We keep them on one page because splitting a maker from its own range would make the shop harder to use, not easier.
What the range is
Sour chews, sour foam, and the mixed bags. The sour end is properly sour rather than sweet-with-a-dusting, which is the difference between a candy that makes children wince and one that makes adults keep going. Surt Skum is the foam version, Supersurt the one to hand somebody who says nothing is ever sour enough, and Blåbär Melon the mildest of the set.
The 10-flavour mix
The S-Märke Mix is the shortcut: ten flavours in one bag, which is how pick & mix is actually bought in Sweden. It is the right first order from this maker — a single bag tells you which of the ten you want a whole bag of next time, and that is cheaper to find out this way round.
Where it sits
Sourer than Malaco, softer than MAOAM, and made in Sweden — so it belongs on the Swedish candy shelf without any qualification. If sour is what you are here for, the whole sour range is worth a look alongside it.
