Pändy
Swedish, and the rare candy that tastes like candy on almost no sugar.
What Pändy is
A Swedish maker that rebuilt familiar candy shapes — skulls, rings, clouds, ovals — around roughly a gram of sugar a bag. That is the entire proposition, and the reason to care is that most no-sugar candy announces itself the moment it hits your tongue. These do not. The sour skulls are genuinely sour, and the fluffy clouds are genuinely fluffy.
Not a vegan sweet, despite appearances
Pändy is made with bovine gelatine. It looks like a health product and sits in the same basket as one, which is exactly why it is worth saying plainly rather than leaving you to find out from the back of the bag. If gelatine is the thing you are avoiding, the vegan shelf is the page you want and this is not it. It is gluten free, if that is the question instead.
Which bag first
Sour Skulls if you already know BUBS skulls and want the same shape with the sugar taken out — lemon and raspberry, in separate halves. Peach Rings are the mildest. Fluffy Clouds are the closest thing here to a marshmallow, and Berry Ovals are the one to put in a mixed order when you want something that is not sour.
Where it sits next to the rest
Nothing else we carry is trying to do this. Swedish candy is built on sugar and two-layer construction, and Pändy is the one maker on the site working against that on purpose.
