Marianne is chocolate from Fazer. Softer and milkier than most European bars, and made to be broken square by square rather than eaten in one go.
It is Finnish, not Swedish — and it has been a fixture in Swedish pick & mix and Christmas bowls for decades, which is a better reason to stock something than where the factory happens to be. Fazer has been going out of Helsinki since 1891.
